We are saddened to announce the passing of Shalay Simmons McClellan, who left us too soon on July 25, 2024. Born on February 8, 1993, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Shalay was the beloved daughter of Anthony and Christine Simmons.

Shalay was a loving spouse to James McClellan II, whom she married in 2016. Together, they raised three wonderful children: James McClellan III, Caison McClellan, and Jayce McClellan. She was a dedicated mother and wife, always putting her family first.

Shalay was a graduate of Berkeley High School, class of 2011, and went on to further her education at Trident Technical College, graduating in 2026. She worked as a Patient Care Technician at MUSC, where she touched the lives of many with her compassionate care.

Outside of work and family, Shalay enjoyed indulging in her hobbies of shopping and self-care, always looking her best with impeccable hair and nails. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Unfortunately, Shalay's life was cut short by a sudden heart attack. While we are left with heavy hearts, we take solace in knowing that she is now at peace.

Rest in peace, Shalay Simmons McClellan. Your memory will forever live on in our hearts.
