Shaka Nesmith, 45, of Rochester, New York, passed Monday, July 10, 2017. He was born to Shaka Williams, and Denise Nesmith on December 20, 1971 in Rochester, New York.

Shaka graduated from Monroe High School in 1983. He married Toni Upshaw in 2003, and they lived together in Rochester. Shaka loved spending time with his family. He was a very quiet man, but very stern. He loved his church and worked faithfuly until his passing.

Shaka worked at the City Of Rochester until he retired in 2006.

Shaka is survived by 4 children: John W. Upshaw (DeVonna S. Upshaw), Khadijan Upshaw, and Danyell Upshaw. He also is survived by 1 grandchild.
