Serapia Nunez Delgado (85) of Lamont, CA., passed away on November 14th with her family by her side.Serapia was born on September 3, 1931, in Culiacan, Durango, Mexico. She was one of thirteen children born to Manuel and Julia Nunez. Serapia married the love of her life, Pedro Delgado, in 1966. She was blessed with 3 sons, Jose, Jesus, and Antonio. Serapia worked side-by-side with her husband in agriculture until she retired in 1993.Serapia was a spiritually graced Catholic. She enjoyed sewing, and embroidering. She treasured her visits going back to Mexico and visiting family. She was a fabulous cook, and would always welcome everyone with her delicious food. She loved day trips to the casinos. But most of all, she loved being around her husband, children, and grandchildren.Serapia is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Jesus. Serapia is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Pedro. Her son, Jose and wife Lisa; son Antonio and wife Julia. Grandchildren Tyler, Jorre, and Erica Delgado.Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park at 2739 Panama Lane, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 5-8, with rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 10601 Myrtle Ave. in Lamont, will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 10:00 am.The family would like to thank the staff in ICU at Mercy Hospital, and the staff at Arvin Evergreen.
