Troxell, Selbert J. "Johnnie",Selbert J "Johnnie" Troxell, 91, of Crestwood, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017.Johnnie was born on December 28, 1925 to the late Selbert Beckham and Virginia Lee (Tingle) Troxell in Ballardsville, Kentucky. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII in Germany. Johnnie received many decorations for his service; among those are The Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Star Medals. He later worked as an Oldham County School Bus Driver for 32 years and roofed and guttered for 50 years with his company, Troxell Roofing. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years; Elizabeth Troxell and daughter; Connie Williams.Left to cherish the memory of Johnnie are his children; Suzanne Moore, John Troxell (Sherry), and Jackie Sowders (Thomas), 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.Services to celebrate the life of Selbert "Johnnie" Troxell will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home on Monday, January 30th at 11am with burial to follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Hosparus or St. Jude's Children's Fund.
