He was born on February 28, 1939 to the late Maria and John Armas in Newark, NJ.Segundo grew up in Irvington, NJ and then resided 10 years in Manville, NJ, and 20 years in Bridgewater, NJ before residing the last 15 years in Branchburg, NJ. He worked as an architect for 35 years and retired 8 years ago from his private practice in Bound Brook. Segundo was a member of the American Institute of Architects, former member of the Manville Elks and a member of the Gulf Harbors Yacht Club in New Port Richey, FL. He enjoyed dancing, basketball, and golf. He was a diehard NY Giants fan and loved to attend all his grandchildren's sporting events. Segundo also enjoyed the beach and his annual L.B.I. vacation with his family. Dedicated to his country he served in the National Guard. Above all, Segundo was known to spend quality time with family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren.Segundo is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Eileen (Stella); loving children Jeffrey and wife Ana of Madison, CT., Coreen Lucas and Husband Joe of Branchburg, NJ and Tara Armas of Bedminster, NJ; cherished grandchildren Joseph, Julia, Jason, Mia, Luca, Carla and Juliana, and beloved nieces and nephews.He is predeceased in death by his parents, a brother John, and a sister Maria Gaffney.A viewing will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US HWY. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ (908)526-7638.
