Scott WilbanksUrbandaleScott Wilbanks, 57, passed away Monday, January 09, 2017, at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Ankeny Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m., Thursday at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.Scott B. Wilbanks was born on August 28, 1959, to Bob and Jane Wilbanks. He attended Urbandale High School, graduating in the class of 1977. Following graduation, Scott enlisted and served in the United States Army. Scott made his career in quality control with The Wittern Group. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was also a fan of all Iowa Hawkeye athletics. Scott is survived by his children, Abby (Adam) Miller, Adam (Cassandra La Pietra) Wilbanks, and Alex (Amy Bonadurer) Wilbanks; mother, Jane Wilbanks; and sister, Lori (Brent) Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Wilbanks.
