We are sad to announce the passing of Saul Payne, who left us on August 16, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Born on August 1, 1939, Saul was the son of David Moore and Reatha Payne Jones. He is survived by his loving partner, Mary Robertson, and their eight children: Shelia, Hazel, Ivy, Zelda, Venedder, Denise, Vernon, and Michael.

Saul spent many years working at Curtis Candy Company before retiring in 2007. He was known for his dedication to his work and his warm personality, which made him a beloved member of the team. Saul's presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In his spare time, Saul enjoyed spending time with his family, telling jokes, and watching his favorite sports teams. He had a special way of bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome in his home.

Although Saul's passing leaves a void in our hearts, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit and his ability to make everyone around him smile.

Rest in peace, Saul. You will be forever in our thoughts and memories.
