On February 3, 2025, the world lost a bright light with the passing of Sarah James in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on December 3, 1952, Sarah lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by loved ones.

Sarah was a dedicated mother to her six children, Sandra, Anthony, April (spouse Eddie), Cornell (spouse Pam), Shonda (spouse Tyrone Brown), and Patrice (spouse Terrance). She took great joy in her role as a grandmother to her seven grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Sarah worked as a beloved staff member at South Mecklenburg High School until her retirement in 1994. She found purpose and fulfillment in giving back to her community through volunteering at homeless shelters.

One of Sarah's greatest passions was cooking for her family. Her delicious meals brought joy and togetherness to all who sat around her table.

Tragically, Sarah's life was cut short by a house fire. While we mourn her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she touched the lives of so many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.
