It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Elaine Nickerson passed away on January 29, 2026. 73, born on May 8, 1952, in St. Mary's, Idaho and resided in Buffalo NY most of her life until she relocated to Anderson, SC in 2022 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Sandy enjoyed joking and had an infectious smile. In her early years, Sandy enjoyed dancing, riding her bike, hanging at the community center and educating the community on infectious diseases. She enjoyed drawing and could often be seen with a pencil in hand. Sandy loved animals and was most affectionate of her white rat, guinea pig and her dogs, Big Daddy and Abby. Sandy's greatest accomplishment was being able to see her grandchildren reach the milestones of graduating high school and college. As well as living to see her great grandchildren.

Sandra's biggest dream was to visit the Pitbull and Parolee dog training center in New Orleans. She fulfilled this dream in 2021. Sandy danced, toured the city and walked down Bourbon Street, celebrating life with her family.

Sandy leaves behind two children that she cherished, Choch and Karmen, who inherited her sense of humor and zest for life. Four grandchildren Brittany (Johnathan) Alix (Ben), Christopher and Chance whom she adored and two great granddaughters, Ryan Desiree and Rylee Elaine who she thought to be the world's best gift.

Sandy leaves behind a void that could never be filled but the memory will live in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. Rest in peace dear Mom, may you dance your way though the gates of heaven.
