It is with profound sadness and cherished remembrance that we announce the passing of Sanders Whyte, who left us on December 28, 2025, at the age of 58. Sanders departed this world peacefully at his home, succumbing to a heart attack, marking the end of a vibrant chapter in our lives. Born on October 2, 1967, in the warm embrace of Braeton, Jamaica, Sanders' journey was one of love, laughter, and endless positivity.
A proud graduate of Ascot High School, Sanders carried the values of hard work and dedication into a fruitful career. For 20 years, he built dreams and futures in the construction industry, known for his deft hands and diligent spirit. His evenings and weekends often found him behind the bar as a part-time bartender, where his engaging smile and listening ear made him a beloved fixture in the community.
Beyond his work, Sanders was a man of many passions. An avid fisherman, he found solace and joy in the gentle rhythm of the lake, casting his line with a serenity that mirrored his approach to life. He was a seasoned traveler, whose adventures took him across the United States and the Caribbean, filling his heart with stories and his mind with a wealth of experiences. On sun-soaked days, the beach was his sanctuary—a place where he felt most at peace, with the gentle waves echoing his calm and kind nature.
Sanders was more than his accomplishments; he was a beacon of light to all who knew him. His bright smile and loving positivity were infectious, touching all those around him. To the children of the neighborhood, he was a fatherly figure, offering guidance and wisdom with a gentle hand. To his friends, he was a steadfast companion, always ready with a kind word or a hearty laugh.
He is survived by his loving partner, Va'Shea Johnson, whose companionship brought him immense joy. His legacy continues through his cherished children, Jenavie Whyte and Joshua Pressley, who carry forward his values and love. Sanders was also the proud grandfather of two, whose laughter and play filled his heart with boundless happiness.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Sanders’ life. During these trying times, the family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with love and support. It is clear from the outpouring of well-wishes that Sanders was beloved by many, and he will be forever missed.
In honoring Sanders, we remember a life well-lived, a soul well-loved, and a spirit that will remain with us always. May the waves of the ocean carry him gently, and may he rest in eternal peace.
