We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Samuel Stewart on October 15, 2023. Born on April 30, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama, Samuel was the beloved son of Joseph and Marie Stewart.

Samuel was a devoted husband to his late wife, Carrie L Bailey. They were united in marriage in the year 1954 and shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories together. Throughout their 47 years of marriage, Samuel and Carrie were blessed with seven children who brought immense joy and pride into their lives.

Their children include Allen Bailey, who is married to Tashica Glenn-Bailey, Corleen Bailey, Lolita Bailey (deceased), who was married to Jermaine Latham, Michael Bailey, Michelle Bailey, Josie Boler, and Cassandra Bailey-Hudson, who was married to Victor Hudson (deceased). Samuel loved his children deeply and was a constant source of support and guidance for them.

In addition to being a loving father, Samuel was a doting grandfather to nine grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. His dedication to his family was evident in the way he showered them with love, wisdom, and encouragement throughout their lives.

Samuel's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, his warm smile, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy of compassion and strength will continue to inspire and guide his loved ones for generations to come.

After a life well-lived, Samuel succumbed to End Stage Renal Failure. Although our hearts ache with grief at this tremendous loss, we find solace in the knowledge that Samuel is now reunited with his beloved wife, Carrie, and other departed loved ones who have gone before him.

As we bid farewell to Samuel, let us remember the indelible impact he made on our lives. He will forever be cherished and dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
