Samuel Richardson, the son of the late Joe Richardson and Catherine Richardson was born on April 17, 1950, in Florida. On Monday, December 10, 2018, Sam was taken to his resting place. Sam's childhood experience took place in St. Petersburg, FL within the "Wildwood" District. Sam earned his High School diploma from Gibbs High School. He later went on to become a skilled draftsman.

In 1968 Sam met Diane Richardson. They were married in 1972 and had 4 children. He had an uncompromising love for his children and was the best father in the world!! He was a great provider and took care of his wife and family until his passing and made sure his family would be provided for even in his after life. He made being responsible and working hard look easy!! In 1976 he started working at ANR Pipeline Company as a draftsman for over 20 years and retired in 2002. He was very well spoken and was never scared to use the word "Sir". After retirement, he enjoyed having coffee and telling lies at Mcdonald's with his other retired buddies. He also enjoyed taking his grandkids to school, he was our family Uber. His final days he enjoyed having family dinners and getting out as much as he could. His presence will be greatly missed.

Sam leaves to cherish fond memories of his lovely wife, Diane Richardson; his daughter, beautiful Eureka Richardson; and sons, Samuel Richardson Jr., Demmerick Richardson and Kerron Richardson; beloved siblings, Joe Richardson (Carletta), Shirley Richardson(Albert), Martha Richardson, Ida Rolle (Gerald); as well as, granddaughters, Felicia Richardson, Jakeriaya, Olivia Richardson, Yazzmin, Jamiaya; two great- grandsons, Daquan and Davion; and a host of nieces and nephews.
