Mr. Sammy L. Cruel, 73, of Taylors, South Carolina, husband of Reverend Twana Rogers Cruel, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at his residence. Samuel was a beloved member of the community known for his kind heart and gentle spirit. He dedicated his life to helping others and making a positive impact on those around him. Samuel will be remembered for his infectious smile, his unwavering integrity, and his passion for life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Samuel will be deeply missed by his friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched.

Surviving in addition to his wife: two daughters, Martina (Robert) Wright of Lyman, SC and Ebony (Brandon) Paul of Easley, SC; four sons, Samuel Sentaz (Yolanda) Lewis of Greenville, SC, Frederick (Jasmine) Lewis of Simpsonville, SC, Cordera Harris “Cootsie” of Greenville, SC and Antwan (Jasmin) Cruell of Durham, NC; twenty-two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
