Salvador Velasco TagumCamarillo, CASalvador Velasco Tagum, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at his family home in Camarillo. He was born on November 12, 1936 in Iriga City, Philippines to Juan Tagum and Dominga Velasco. In 1963, he moved to the United States, and that same year he joined the Navy where he proudly served our country for 22 years. After serving the Navy, Salvador worked various jobs before retiring in 2003. Hobbies and interests of Salvador were aplenty including fishing, watching boxing, playing cards, learning about history and spending time with friends and family. His family was his pride and joy, always sacrificing his time to do whatever his kids and wife needed. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Josefina, his four children Sheryl, Joseph, John, and Stephanie and the family dog, Phenyxx. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 6 at Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 1075 E. Daily Dr., Camarillo. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, also at Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, Camarillo. Interment will follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, Camarillo.
