Sally Ann Brauer RACINE — Sally Ann (née: Ungerer) Brauer, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on July 8, 2014. Sally was born on January 28, 1946 in Tomahawk, WI. She was the 7th daughter to Anthony and Gertrude (nee: Winker) Ungerer. She attended Tomahawk High School and after moving to Racine, graduated from Gateway Technical College. Sally was united in marriage to David R. Darge, Sr. in 1967. She was then united in marriage to Charles Brauer on December 10, 1980. She had one son, David R. Darge, Jr. and was devoted to her family. Sally was a very energetic person and always appreciated a good social event. She loved fishing and spending time in the outdoors watching the birds at their feeders. She enjoyed traveling, gambling, knitting, playing scrabble and spending time with her family. Sally also liked dancing, singing and telling stories. No one could tell a story quite like Sally could. She is survived by her husband, Charles Brauer, Son, David (Jamie) Darge, Jr. of Crivitz, WI; grandsons, Christopher (Kristin Pate) Darge, Steven Darge and Kelly Hansen. She is further survived by her great grandchildren, Chloe-Mae and Nash Darge; sisters, Marie "Annie" Meisch of Ironwood, MI and Jacqueline (Mark) Alberg of Tomahawk, WI; brother, Arthur (Elaine) Ungerer of Tomahawk, WI and many nieces, nephews and friends. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Gertrude Ungerer, her former husband, David Darge, Sr., sisters, Columbia Brunner, Lorraine McPherson, Marge Keene and Antoinette Capelli. A memorial service will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Allay Home and Hospice has been suggested.
