Ryan C. Sells, 69MUNCIE - Ryan C. Sells, 69, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.He was born on July 14, 1948 in Albany, KY, the son of Belknap and Joan (Livingston) Sells.Ryan attended Muncie South Side High School. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corp serving from August 1967 until June 1970. He was a Purple Heart veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Linda E. Shrack on April 2, 1971 in Dunkirk, IN.He worked at the Muncie Post Office for thirteen years and later became a self-employed used car dealer. Ryan was a member of the American Legion Post #227 in Dunkirk. He was a gifted mechanic, he loved restoring cars especially 1960's cars, and was an avid Corvette enthusiast. Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Linda Sells; daughter, Jody Schmidt; son, John Sells; grandchildren, Katy Jo Dalton and Shelby Kay Dalton; great-granddaughter, Brennah Walker; sister, Sheila Spisak (husband, Rich); brother, Jim Sells (wife, Carol); three nephews, Michael Sells, Mitchell Sells, and Bryan Spisak; two nieces, Kate Giovambattista and Kelly Wiltfong; special friends, Sara Beeson, Cormak Beeson, Sophia Beeson, Bill Duke, and Kevin Kelley; and a host of extended family, cousins, friends, and South Side classmates.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry Sells.Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Dunkirk I.O.O.F Cemetery.Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel or one hour prior to the service on Monday.Memorial contributions may be made to The American Legion Post # 227, 118 W.
