Ruth L. Rodriguez passed away February 11, 2017 at her home. She was 77 years old. Ruth was born on July 4, 1939 in Huntley, Wyoming to Daniel and Nancy (Acosta) Lozano. She moved to Greeley from Wheatland, WY and graduated from Greely High School in 1958. Ruth attended Front Range Community College in Greeley, before moving to Boulder where she attended CU and got her associates degree in early childhood development. She worked for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) before retiring in 2000 and moving to Longmont. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Longmont and volunteered her time there. Ruth was an avid reader and a great cook. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Mariel in 2016; and one grandchild. Ruth is survived by her children Sandra Lozano, Joe Michael Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez and Rhonda Wiersch; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday February 18, 2017 at Grace Evangelical Free Church. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
