Ruth Mae DosterMay 11, 1929 - July 24, 2017MyerstownRuth Mae Doster, 88, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at home. She was born on May 11, 1929 in Swatara Twp, a daughter of the late Harry W. and Katie G. Unger Light. Ruth was the wife of the late Richard Doster who passed way in 2006. Mrs. Doster had worked for College Hill processing for 14 years, Steffy Shoe Co. as a Shoe Cutter for 27 years and Laudermilch Meats as a Baker for 18 years. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, camping and family functions. She was a member of the Northern Lebanon Senior Citizens and former member of Mountville U.M. church. Surviving is her daughter, Katie Long of Myerstown; son, Richard L, husband of Linda Doster, Jonestown; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter; sisters, Betty Miller of Jonestown and June Doster of Lebanon; brother, Gene Light of Mesa, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St, Lebanon, 17042 on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. with a viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
