Ruth Loraine Settle Ruth Loraine Settle; Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, age 96, passed away on September 26, 2016 in Palos Verdes Estates. Ruth was a Long Beach resident for over 75 years. She was born on September 30, 1919 in Pomona, CA. Ruth was a graduate of Reno's College of Beauty, Long Beach and was retired from Roberts Department Store in Bixby Knolls. She was active in Bixby Knolls Christian Church and was a volunteer with Meals On Wheels in Lakewood for many years. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Arthur L. Settle. She is survived by sons, Toby and Larry Settle; sister, Marilyn Sisti; granddaughters, Amy Eisenmann and Kelan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Anthony Ladao, Cody Johnson, Gus Eisenmann, Audry Eisenmann and Vivian Eisenmann.
