Ruth A. LinkousDeltaRuth A. Linkous, 93, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the home of her son, with whom she had resided for several years. She was the wife of Paul Everett Linkous, Sr., who died on July 9, 1996.Ruth was born on December 13, 1922, in Red Lion, a daughter of the late Ira D. and Rebecca B. (Snyder) Kimmons. She was a 1941 graduate of the former Fawn Township High School in Gatchelville and had worked for a time for the former McCorquodale Color Card Company in Whiteford, Md. From 1964 until her retirement in 1981, Ruth worked processing mail in the Edgewood Arsenal area of Aberdeen Proving Ground. She joined her church, Community of Christ Church on August 11, 1951, and was a faithful member. She is survived by two children, Paul Everett Linkous, Jr., and his wife, Amy of Delta, Linda Linkous Miller of Delta. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Deborah Beck, William Young, and his wife, Laura, Timothy Young, and his companion, Robin Thomas, Glenn Miller, Jr., and his wife, Nancy, Laura Hatoff Thisse, and her wife, Anita, Rebecca Miller Hill, Paul Everett Linkous III, and his wife, Aimie, John Thomas Linkous, and his wife, Daria.
