Bruhn, Ruth (Nee Schumacher) Ruth Schumacher Bruhn, 94, of Lenexa, KS, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2017. A Life Celebration will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. A visitation will be from 10:30 -11 AM with a funeral following at 11 AM. Burial later at PineIawn Memorial Park, Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution is suggested to : www.alz.org. Ruth was born on Jan. 26, 1923 in Fredonia, WI to Louis and Laura (Jobs) Schumacher. She lived most of her life in Milwaukee, WI before moving to Lenexa, KS in 2009 to be near her daughter and grandchildren. Ruth was a kind hearted loving women that would be the first to volunteer to help. Her favorite times was spent in her sewing room creating beautiful works of art into quilts, which will be on display at the church during the funeral. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert T. Bruhn, her parents, and siblings, Laurinna, Arnold, Naoma, Myrtle, Clarissa, Erich and Howard. Survivors include her daughter, Laura L. Eckers and husband Donald of Overland Park, two grandsons, Michael R. Eckers and wife Jennifer E. of Deepwater, MO, Jonathan R.
