Ruth Brosnan NashArden - Ruth Brosnan Nash died peacefully on December 18, 2016 at the John F. Keever Solace Center. Ruth was born on March 9, 1962 in Asheville. She was the daughter of the late D. William Brosnan, III, MD and the late Ann Hawkins Brosnan. She was also preceded in death by her oldest brother, D. William Brosnan, IV.She is survived by her brother, Walter Brosnan and his wife Toni and their children, Caroline Brosnan (niece), Bryan Brosnan (nephew), and Taylor Livengood. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Brosnan and his wife Rhoda and their children, Louise Brosnan (niece) and Bennett Brosnan (nephew).Ruth attended St. Genevieve of the Pines and Asheville Country Day School in Asheville as well as The Kings Daughters School in Columbia, Tennessee. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Asheville.She was a very kind, sweet and caring person. Independent in nature, Ruth enjoyed long road trips to visit family and friends. A lifelong lover of animals, she especially enjoyed the company of her cat Love Love.The family would like to extend thanks to the physicians of Mission Neurology, the staff at Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation, the kind caregivers at the Solace Center, and a special thanks to Gay Kriek.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Reverend Michael Poulos officiating.
