Ruth Baker, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on October 19, 2024, in Belcourt, North Dakota. She was born on June 30, 1935, to Edward and Agnes Mae Martin.

Ruth is survived by her partner, David Paul Baker, and their six children: Debra Short, Natalie Rue Baker, Melissa Poitra (spouse Paul Poitra), John Scott (spouse Alice Scott), Edward Scott (spouse Faye Scott), and Gerard (Pee Wee) Scott.

Ruth attended Belcourt High School and continued her studies in Stefan, South Dakota. She had a passion for collecting knick knacks and enjoyed playing bingo, cards, dice, and Yahtzee with her family and friends.

Ruth will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
