Lasecki, Ruth A. (Letter)Ruth A. (Letter) Lasecki, age 55, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Lena, WI, on Thursday, May 18, 2017. She went to meet the Lord after nearly 4 years of battling cancer.Ruth was born on March 27, 1962, in Kaukauna, WI, to James and Bernice (Huss) Letter. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1980 and married the love of her life Gary Lasecki in 1981. After moving to Krakow, WI, Ruth and Gary began and expanded their family farm for over 25 years. She enjoyed attending auctions, caring for her calves, cooking large meals for her family, and baking Polish desserts. Her children remember her as an energetic, humble, loving, generous, self-sacrificing, and outgoing person that had a bold presence when she walked into a room. She loved laughing and living life. Ruth was always proud of her children. Spending individualized quality time with each one of her children was something she cherished. She also enjoyed her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and kept her motivated to actively pursue any and all medical treatments. Ruth is survived by her spouse, Gary Lasecki, Lena, WI; her children Gary Lasecki Jr., Lena, WI; James and Tiffany (Stambuk) Lasecki, Greenville, WI; Odin and Jamie (Lasecki) Waite, Sartell, MN; William and Erin (Lasecki) Bancroft, Abrams, WI; her grandchildren Kaylee and Alex Waite, Weston Bancroft, and Claire and Carinne Lasecki; her parents, James and Bernice (Huss) Letter; her sisters and brothers-in-law Leon and Debra (Letter) Polzin, Roger and Dorothy (Letter) DeGuelle, Kevin and Diane (Letter) VanLannen, Craig and Carol (Letter) Paap, Donald and Rita (Letter) Skalecki, and Steven and Doris (Letter) Jarosz; her mother-in-law Bernadine (Kaczmarowski) Sobieski; her sisters-in-law and spouses Kevin and Marilyn (Lasecki) Sampo, Tony and Joan (Lasecki) Babik, and Tom and Cheryl (Lasecki) DeLeeuw; and numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her son, Steven Lasecki; father-in-law Clarence Lasecki; step father-in-law Felix "Phil" Sobieski; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. A celebration of life is scheduled for Friday, May 26, 2017, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 716 Madison St., Oconto, from 4-8p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30p.m.. Visitation will continue at 9:30a.m. Saturday May 27 at the church with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 11a.m. with Fr. Robert Karuhn officiating. Family and friends are invited to a lunch following the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ruth's life. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home-Oconto is assisting the family.
