Rufus Watson, born on January 18, 1956, in Washington, Washington, D.C., United States, passed away on June 26, 2024. He was the beloved son of Rufus Watson Sr. and Shirley H Watson.

Rufus received his education in D.C Public Schools. He worked as a school teacher and lifeguard during the summer, until his health would not allow him to continue. Even though Rufus had health problems, when his mother was diagnosed with dementia, he moved in with her to care for her. Rufus took care of the cooking, cleaning and washing of her clothing, without ever complaining about his health or her needs. It was a struggle after her illness turned into full blown Alzheimer's, but with the assistance of his sister in law they got the job done until she went home to be with God. Even then he was right there by her side, mother on one couch and Rufus on the other. Rufus love going to church and serving God, he enjoyed teaching kids how to swim, he also liked going to the movies and spending time with friends and family. Rufus will truly missed. Rufus was processed in life by his Father Rufus Watson Sr and Mother Shirley H Watson.

May Rufus Watson rest in peace, knowing that he was loved and will never be forgotten.
