Rudy Gale YoungLancaster: Rudy Gale Young, 86 of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday October, 14th, 2017 at the Logan Care and Rehabilitation Center. Rudy was born on July 21st, 1931 in Rome, Ohio to the late Milburn and Mary Young. He served in the United States Navy from 1949 to 1954, where he had spent some time serving in Hawaii as a Color Guard at Pearl Harbor. Rudy had worked at General Motors for 25 years as a Tool and Die Maker. He was a member of the Hocking Hills Church of Christ.Rudy is survived by his wife of 30 years Lois; son, Michael (Sherle) Trent of Warren Robins, GA; step-son Jon (Kathy) Walters of Lancaster, OH; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christina Helmer and Loretta Lambert; as well as many other loving family members.He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Edwin Young, and Mary Wallace.Funeral services are to be held on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017 at 11AM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kelly Zirkle officiating. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4PM & 6-8PM, as well as ONE HOUR PRIOR to the services on Wednesday. Dignity cremation is to take place following the services.
