Ruby Jean RidenourMANSFIELD: Ruby Jean Ridenour, 92, of Mansfield passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Arbors of Mifflin. Jean was born on October 6, 1924 in New Washington, OH to the late Russell J. and Pearl F. (Brown) Wallimire. Jean grew up in the small town of New Washington, OH. She was employed at Reeds Department Store until she went to work in a law office. She was a long time member of First English Lutheran Church. In her spare time she enjoyed reading romance novels, sunbathing outside, gardening, walking, knitting, sewing, and hosting family gatherings at her home. She enjoyed traveling, with Hawaii and New York being two of her favorite locations to visit. Jean is survived by her niece, Nancy (Ted) Hoover; five nephews, Curtis (Carol Eakle) Wycoff, David (Stacy) Wycoff, Michael (Mandy) Hoover, Jerry (Machael Zigler) Hoover, and Troy Hoover; three great-nieces, Tanner Wycoff, Gabrielle Hoover, and Bailey Wycoff; and a great-nephew, Eric Henry Hoover, Jr.She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Geraldine (Ernest) Wycoff; a half-brother, Doyle Wallimire; a half-sister, Mary Darlene Cummins; and a nephew, Eric Hoover.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors.
