Ruby Lee Davis was born on November 10, 1950, to Bessie May Davis and Dan Davis, who preceded her in death. She was blessed with a host of siblings and was beloved by all of them. Among her surviving siblings are Robert Davis, Henry Davis, and Will Davis, along with many others who shared a special bond with her.
Born in Arkansas, Ruby's journey took her from California to Ohio, where she eventually made her home. Though she traveled throughout her life, Ohio became the place where she built lasting
memories with family and friends.
Ruby's legacy lives on through her loving children. She was preceded in death by Charles Mathis, Rosie Allen, and Denise Oxford. She is survived by her devoted children: Dennis Oxford, Ruby Davis, Judith Davis, Joseph West, James Davis, Leroy Davis, and Jerry Davis. She was adored by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Her longtime friend, James
Murray, was a cherished part of her life.
Ruby was a woman of warmth, strength, and unwavering love. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren, with a special bond shared with her beloved "Red." Known affectionately as "Moma," she was the heart of her family-outspoken, vibrant, and full of life. She believed in honesty and never hesitated to speak her mind, whether you liked it or not.
