Ruby Jean Roberts, 71, passed on November 23, 2020. She was born to David Hicks and Jaqueline Hicks in Navasota, Texas on January 19, 1949.

She married James Roberts and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised 2 children Cedrick Roberts (Nicole Roberts), Henry Roberts (Tanika Roberts). She is also survived by 1 grandchildren. Ruby graduated from Navasota High School in 1958 and received a degree from Texas State University in 1962. She married James Roberts in 1962, and they lived together in Houston City. Ruby worked as a school teacher until she retired in 1992. She also volunteered as a Sunday school teacher at New Faith Church in 1993 to 2008 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.
