Ruben Rendon LUBBOCK-Funeral mass for Ruben Rendon, 81, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Jim O'Connor officiating. Interment will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Family will receive friends at 6 with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Mr. Rendon passed away on Oct. 26, 2016, at UMC. He was born on Dec. 4, 1934, to his late parents, Mauricio and Tomasa (Frausto) Rendon in San Angelo, Texas. Ruben married Sulema on Oct. 12, 1954. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Ruben is survived by daughters, Angela Perkins (David), Rosa Garza (Domingo), Gloria Doo (Henry), Ana Villarreal (Domingo), Maria Isabel Fiero, Elizabeth Chairez; sisters, Lillia Gallegos, Oralia Martinez; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sulema on Oct. 19, 2015, and one son; Ruben Rendon Jr.
