He was born on October 20, 1941 in Des Moines to Thelma Clemons and Roy McElvogue, Sr.Roy graduated from Des Moines Technical High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962. He was a plumber retiring from Local 33. Roy enjoyed hunting and fishing.Roy is survived by his loving wife, Kelly (Piper); sons, Roy III (Lena) and Timothy; daughter, Tammy Muscio; brothers, Butch and Morris; and 20 grandchildren.
