Roy Allen McKinney, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on July 22, 1941, Roy was a life-long resident of Wortham and Corsicana, Texas.

Roy was known for his vibrant spirit, infectious snicker, and a good sense of humor. An avid golfer, a skilled card player, and a passionate ranch-handling farm hand, he filled his life—and the lives of those around him—with joy. He was especially fond of family dinners, where he enjoyed margaritas and spirited games of Texas Hold'em with loved ones. He was a practical joker at heart, always ready to tease. In addition to his many hobbies, Roy enjoyed traveling in his RV, admiring his garden, and sitting on the patio with his view of the countryside.

He was a devoted family man, survived by his sister, Helen Thompson (Pete). He leaves behind his cherished children: daughter Susan Chesner(Barry). Roy will be dearly remembered by his grandchildren: Dr. Melissa McNeil DVM, Jennifer Cucic (Nick), Brenda Daigneault (Jeffrey), and his great-grandchildren: Theodore Daigneault, Sophia Daigneault, Alaina Cucic, and Layla Cucic. Roy is predeceased by his wife, Sue McKinney, his parents, Earl O’Dell McKinney, Sr. and Mary Lou McKinney, and his daughter, Debra Jean Newman.
