A well lived life

Rosie Mendoza, born on April 5, 1975, in New York, United States, brought laughter and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sadly, on September 2, 2023, she left us for greener pastures, leaving a void that can never be filled. She was the beloved daughter of Micheal Castro and Maria Santos. David Mendoza, with whom she shared a beautiful life, also passed on August 31st. Together, Rosie and David were blessed with two children, Jonathan and Dalesa.

Rosie's early education took place at Martin Luther King Junior High School, where she excelled academically and built lasting friendships. In 1989, she proudly graduated from MLK High School, ready to take on the world. Eager to expand her knowledge, Rosie pursued higher education at Lehman College. Rosie dedicated several years of her life to working at Presbyterian, where she was not only respected by her colleagues but also touched the lives of countless patients. Her dedication to her profession and compassionate nature positively impacted the lives of many.

On that fateful day, tragedy struck when Rosie's life was cut short due to a devastating car accident. The loss of such a remarkable woman has left a deep void in the hearts of her family and friends. Rosie will forever be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering love. She would drive us crazy with her terrible jokes and her love for puns, we wouldn't trade a single moment spent with her. The world feels like a much smaller and less vibrant place without her infectious laughter echoing through the streets.

Though Rosie may no longer be with us, her memory lives on through her children, Jonathan and Dalesa. Jonathan followed in his mother's footsteps, finding love and happiness in a marriage with his spouse, Jasmine. While Dalesa continues to pursue her degree in college. Through their parents' guidance, love, and support, Jonathan and Dalesa learned the value of family, commitment, and perseverance. Additionally, Rosie left behind three beautiful grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. Rosie's love for them was immeasurable, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Rosie Mendoza had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and an incredible zest for life. She will be remembered as a devoted partner, a loving mother, a cherished family member, and a friend to all. The impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her is immeasurable, and her legacy will forever be engraved in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

You can to the family or in memory of Rosie Mendoza.
