ALBEMARLE — Rose Marie McQuage Kerner, 69, died at her home with family at her side on March 29, 2016.

Rose was born on Dec. 4, 1946 in Scotland County, the daughter of the late George Pate and the late Lula Bell McQuage Clear.

Rose had last worked with D.H.L. in deliveries.

Survivors include her husband Howard Kerner, two daughters: Robin McEwen and Heather Kerner, two sons: Bobby Sanders and Shawn Kerner, five grandchildren: D.J. McEwen, Robbie Sanders, Ryan Sanders, Megan McEwen and Amber Sanders, great-granddaughter Lilly McEwen, and four sisters: Linda Wilcox, Donna Close, Nancy McPeek and Ann Thomas. Rose is also survived by her step father Don Clear.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
