It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rose Marie Butler, who peacefully left this world on December 8, 2025, in Edwardsville, Illinois. Rose was born on October 1, 1949, to her loving parents Richard Lee Oberlender Sr. and Rose Ella Clark.

Rose was a devoted partner to Walter Lee Butler whom she now can rest in heaven with along with her son Elmer and her siblings Richard Oberlender, Charles Oberlender, Robert Oberlender, Frances Oberlender, and Marilyn Turner. She was a loving mother to her three children, Rose Ann Foster, Linda K Colston, and Elmer Claude Bloucher. She leaves behind her siblings Mary Scott, Sandra Oberlender, and Rebecca Jolly. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren. Ashley Bloucher, James Alvey, Dustin Groetecke(Megan Cook), Brian Colston, and Shyanne Colston. As well as 7 great grandchildren Alicia, Alexus, Aleeha, Alyssa, Alysha, Josiah, and Mirra. She also loved Caitlin Arnold and her daughter Amoni as if they were her own grandchildren(great).

Rose was known for her passion for playing Bingo, which brought her great joy and many friendships over the years. She will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family.

Though Rose's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones, her memory will forever live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
