Forever In Our Hearts

Rosanna Marie Coston was born in Pueblo, Colorado March 8, 1955 to Stewart and Florence Woods. She was the third youngest of 7 siblings; Christine, Maxine, Kathy, Tony , Aquila and Garvina. They lived in Pueblo for several years until Florence passed away during childbirth.

Rosanna was adopted by her Uncle Walker and Aunt Marcella Groves and was welcomed and loved by her new family.  She acquired three new siblings; Priscilla, Walker Jr. And Don. Later Nathan and Lynda were born. They grew up in Wheatridge Colorado and moved to Wiggins where Rose graduated in 1973.  After graduating, Rose attained an Associates Degree in Business and had several jobs during her tenure. She also loved working with disabled children.  She eventually moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married James Ford in 1974.  They had two children; Chiquana and James Tyrone.  James and Rose were married for 11 years and then divorced. She decided to move back to Colorado with her two children, and eventually bore another child John Watson Jr.

Rosanna finally met the love of her life Haybert Coston. Bert said, “he got lucky one night when he met Rose”. She fell for him because he did not have a pick up line, and after he got her on the dance floor - he knew he had it made!  They hit it off and began dating immediately. They had great conversations and enjoyed having fun! They courted for 11 years and got married on June 28, 2002. They shared their love together and had a beautiful home.  They threw family parties, and travelled to all different places.

Rosanna lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment of her grandchildren, friends and family.  She loved visits from people that loved her and enjoyed her wisdom and laughter.  She was loving and caring and welcoming, she will welcome you with open arms, but don’t get that twisted Rosanna didn’t play.  She would either get you with her smile or her frown, either way you knew she meant business.

She was a women with flair, love, beauty, classy and sexiness that will fill your mind and hearts right away.  She had away to grab attention without trying, it just came naturally for her.  A true gift from the universe.

Rosanna developed muscular dystrophy (MD) within the past 10 years but continued to live at home.  On Monday, Oct 21, 2019 she developed a blood clot in her neck that led to a massive stroke on the left side of her brain.
