She served Dougherty Comprehensive High School faithfully for two decades and a brief one-year stint at Albany High School before retiring in 2017 after amassing numerous awards and accolades during her tenure. passion to serve was also exemplified in her over 30 years of dedication to the American Legion Post 512 of Albany, GA, in the Women’s Auxiliary and the Amourettes where she was recognized with many awards and honors for her many contributions. Rosa, along with her husband, Fred, were also advocates for voting rights and voter registration. They volunteered as poll workers throughout Dougherty County for many years.
