CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Rosa Lee Robinson- Taylor went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2024. She was born June 19, 1965 to the late Pearl Lee Robinson and Hubbard Ray Robinson in Montezuma Ga, where she grew up with her brothers and sisters. Rosa attended the Macon County School system and graduated Class of 1984. Rosa married Stafford Lee Taylor of Fort valley GA, on June 1, 1991. They made their home in Atlanta GA, where they had two sons, Dedarrius Lamont Taylor and Stafford Lamont Taylor. After working several years in various professions, Rosa completed her post-secondary education at Albany Tech and Darton College. She received her teaching certification and began her career in the Dougherty County school system as a Special Education teacher. She served Dougherty Comprehensive High School faithfully for two decades and a brief one-year stint at Albany High School before retiring in 2017 after amassing numerous awards and accolades during her tenure. passion to serve was also exemplified in her over 30 years of dedication to the American Legion Post 512 of Albany, GA, in the Women’s Auxiliary and the Amourettes where she was recognized with many awards and honors for her many contributions. Rosa, along with her husband, Fred, were also advocates for voting rights and voter registration. They volunteered as poll workers throughout Dougherty County for many years. But one of the things that Rosa loved most of all was spending time with family and friends. From family reunions, birthdays, baby showers, class reunions, vacations, conventions, concerts, recitals, to graduations, if she was invited, she would do her best to be in attendance to offer support. From her hospitality, her overwhelming willingness to volunteer, to her enormous heart to always help those she could, Rosa definitely left her mark on all those whom she interacted with. Rosa was a devoted and proud Wife, Mother, Grandma, Sister, Auntie, Cousin, Niece, and Friend. We love you, and we will truly miss you! Most importantly, Rosa was a Christian. She was devoted member of New Salem CME Church, and she also served at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her transition to Glory: two sons Dedarrius Lamont Taylor of Warner Robins, GA, Stafford Lamont Taylor and grandchildren, Cyler Taylor of Warner Robins ga, Micaiah, Stephon, and Samurai, all of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Christine Robinson (Gilbert) and Mae Francis Robinson (Walker), both of Cuthbert, GA; brothers, William Robinson of Macon, GA, Joseph Robinson of St. Petersburg, FL, Fred Robinson and Welton Robinson of Jeffersonville GA brothers-in-law, Donald Slaughter (Phyllis) of Cuthbert, GA, Grayling Davis of Cuthbert, GA, and Jonathan Gilbert (Janice) of Cuthbert, GA; sisters-in-law, Naomi Jenkins (Bobby) of Cuthbert, GA, Linda Porter of Cuthbert, GA, Janis Gilbert Cuthbert, GA. and Leslie Green (Richard) of Leesburg, GA; aunts, Thelma Lyles of Roselle, NJ, and Annie Ruth Beckworth (Robert) of Winter Garden, FL; uncles, Willie Lyles (Daisy) of Elizabeth, NJ, and Fady Clark of Cuthbert, GA; and a host of numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, as well as many other loving relatives and close friends.
