Roosevelt was born on May 20, 1936 and passed away on Saturday October 5, 2019. Roosevelt was born in North Carolina and later a resident of New York at the time of passing. He entered the Merchant Marines in his teens and later served in the United States Army. After serving in the army, Roosevelt married his childhood sweetheart Elizabeth they later settled in to New York City. In June Elizabeth and Roosevelt celebrated 55 years of marriage. He worked as an Engineer until his retirement in 2005. 

   He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them, a loving grandfather and great grandfather. An uncle to many nieces and nephews.

  Roosevelt was predeceased by his father John Henry Brown, mother Marie Brown, brother and sisters, Henry Brown, Jr., Barbara Jean Brown, Victoria Brown.

   He is also survived by his wife Elizabeth Brown daughters Angela Brown and Michelle Brown and sons Samuel Brown and Andrew Brown. Loving grandfather of Angel Brown, Jacob Martin, Jarrod Martin, LaJuane Brown, Zara Brown.
