Ronnie McDowell, 66, of Kingstown, North Carolina, passed on September 28, 2020. Ronnie was born on April 21, 1954. Ronnie James McDowell's life ended tragically on September 28, 2020 due to sustained heart failure . He was born April 21, 1954 in Shelby, North Carolina, the son of Margaret McDowell and Thomas Davidson (Tommy). He attended Charlotte Public Schools and graduated from Freedom High School in 1972.

Ronnie was a loving father who admired his kids, loved to cook, enjoyed natural scenery such as mountains and beaches, also could not get enough of spending time with his family and friends.

Ronnie will be missed for his caring heart and his sense of humor. He leaves to mourn: his daughters, Krystal and Kaneisha Foster, Shonda McGuire, Rose McDowell, Barbara McDowell, Beulah (Freda) McDowell, Knighta (Barney) McDowell and his brother, Bernard McDowell. He also leaves grandsons and granddaughters : Eric McDowell, Josh McDowell, James Bristol (B.J.) , Myles and Taylor Scott , Tavis and Tad McGuire. He also leaves behind a host of great nieces and nephews.
