A native of Davidson County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Carol Towery. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sally McKinney. Mr Towery was a Marine Corp veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Towery. Three daughters, Elizabeth, Angelic, Kimberly. Two sisters, Gertude and Dorothy and two brothers Fred and Thomas as well as seven grandchildren.

There will not be a formal visitation, the family asks in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville, NC.
