Ronald Reed SheppardLenoir City, TNRonald Reed Sheppard, age 66, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 27 2016, in Jackson, MI, while visiting family for Christmas. Ronnie was born on February 4, 1950, in Lewisburg, TN, to the late Fred B. Sheppard, Jr. and Coretha Dean Massey Sheppard. Ronnie is a veteran of the Vietnam War. Upon retiring from the Army National Guard, Ronnie moved back to his beloved state of Tennessee. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, gardening, grilling, and loved eating his ice cream while watching his beloved Tennessee Vols. He never met a stranger and was always there to help. He had a strong Christian faith, loved his family and friends, and was a member of Lenoir City Church of Christ, Lenoir City, TN.Preceded in death by his parents and a niece. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Marcia Tomaw Sheppard; his children, Cynthia Woodruff, of Riverview, FL, and son, Frederick (Gina) Sheppard, of Lenoir City; his cherished dog Rowdy; sister, Eyvonne Padgett, of Knoxville; brother, Danny (Teresa) Sheppard, of Sweetwater; and sister, Patricia (Trish) (Robin), of Acworth, GA; brother-in-law, Shelby (Kathie) Tomaw; step-children, Kimberly Norton, Jana (Danny)Graham, and Jill (Lonnie) Miller, all of Jackson, MI; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-granchildren; an uncle, Jimmy Hambrick, of Athens, AL; and an aunt, Edna Massey, of Lenoir City; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at Click Funeral Home, in Lenoir City. A Graveside Service with full military honors conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City.
