Ronald William CollierFREMONT: Ronald William Collier, 83, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Bethesda Care Center. He was born on June 27, 1934 in Fremont, the son of Howard and Eileen (Ryan) Collier. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.Ron served in the U.S. Naval Reserves for eight years. He married Janet Arlene Bartee on June 23, 1956 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and she survives. Ron was the CEO/General Manager of the Clyde-Findlay Whirlpool Credit Union and retired in 1991 after many years of service. He was a member and past treasure of the Coon Creek Hunt Club. Ron loved fishing and boating with his son "Ross" and "fishing buddies". He enjoyed OSU football, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns and Indians. Ron is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Janet Arlene Collier; Fremont, OH; children, Christina (John) Reynolds, Westerville, OH, Carrie (Joe) Beier, Roni (Steve) Blue, Georgia Collier and Ross Collier all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Richard (Gail) Collier, Barnes, WI and Ruthann (Anthony) Ruggiero, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Malory (Brett) Sykes, Marci Blue, Ryan Reynolds, Jesse Blue, Peighton and Paige Collier; great grandchildren, Sadie and Chloe Sykes.He was preceded in death by his parents.The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Bethesda Care Center staff and Dr. Joe Hiestand and staff. Memorial Mass: Monday, July 31, 2017; 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 at the church prior to mass.
