Ronald Carroll KingShreveport, LA- A celebration of life service for Ronald King, 67, will be held at Summer Grove United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 29th. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Rachel McConnell -Switzer will officiate.Mr. King was born on Nov. 30, 1949 in Alexandria, LA to Margaret and Carroll King and passed away July 24, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. King was a member of Summer Grove United Methodist Church for 34 years.Mr. King is preceded in death by his father, Carroll King. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Renda King; his mother, Margaret King; his children, Jonathan King and wife, Jacqueline, and Megan King Beecham and husband Nathaniel; his granddaughter, Joanna King; and his sister, Donna Burch and husband, Buddy; and a host of extended family and friends.Mr. King worked for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals- Office of Public Health for 33 years. His last promotion and title was Regional Sanitarian Director for Environmental Health before retiring in 2010.
