Roland R. LippsDeWitt Twp. MIRoland R. Lipps, 84 of DeWitt, Twp., MI died on Friday, May 12, 2017 at his home.  He was born on May 10, 1933 in Clinton County the son of Russell J. and Kathryn (Gibbie) Lipps.  Roland  was a graduate from Grand Ledge High School and was a farmer and factory worker.  On November 5, 1954 he married Patricia Ballard in Lansing. She preceded him in death in 2009.  Roland loved bowling, playing euchre, gardening and mowing his lawn.Survivors are his children, Gary Lipps of Grand Ledge, Jean Huguelet of Lansing, Debbie Jolley of GA, and Peggy Haviland of Dewitt, MI and 13 grandchildren. His beloved cats, Cricket and Riley and many special friends.Roland was preceded in death by his wife Patricia of 54 years and son Jim in 2010.The family will receive friends and relatives at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, 5-8 P.M.  and from 10 A. M. until service time Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Chris McNeilly officiating.  Burial will follow at DeWitt Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to Capital Area Humane Society.
