Peterson, Roger A.Roger Alan Peterson, age 66, of 3702 Easy Street, Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at his home.Roger was born on July 2, 1946 in Green Bay, WI, son of the late Gordon (Pete) and Marcella (Ourada) Peterson. He grew up in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1964. Upon graduation he enlisted in the National Guard where he served for seven years. On August 5, 1967 he married the former Jelaine Waak at St. Marys Catholic Church, Manitowoc. They celebrated their 45th anniversary this past August. Roger used his many mechanical skills at numerous places throughout Manitowoc County starting with working with his dad at Pete Peterson Shell Station then going on to auto dealerships in Newton and St. Nazianz. From fixing cars he went on to fixing cranes for the Manitowoc Company throughout the United States including going to Mount Saint Helens in the state of Washington after it erupted. Roger also worked at Lakeside Foods and Krueger International. After his retirement he worked for Goodwill and Salvation Army.He is survived by his wife: Jelaine, Manitowoc; his children: Tracy and his wife Chris, Two Rivers, Kim and her husband John Davis, Davie, FL, Dennis and his wife Akesa, San Antonio TX; his grandchildren: Tyler Kluczinske, Saukville, WI, Hailey and Morgan Haag, Two Rivers, Zachary Peterson, Two Rivers, Alexis and James Gonzalez and Jake Davis, all of Davie, FL, Nijah Purter-Jones and Tatum Peterson, both of San Antonio, TX; one sister and brother-in-law: Carol and Randy Heller, Denver, CO; mother-in-law: Caroline Waak, Manitowoc; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Cindy and Butch Lehman, Manitowoc, Ann Krueger, Manitowoc, Mark and Cathy Waak, Two Rivers; special God-daughter: Nicole Krueger, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Gordon (Pete) and Marcella Peterson; one brother: Robert Peterson; father-in-law: William Waak.Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Deacon Alan Boeldt with a reception to follow at the All-Care Reception Center located in the east parking lot of the Pfeffer Funeral Home.The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, September 7, 2012, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.pfefferfuneralhome.comThe Pfeffer Funeral Home and All- Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
