We are saddened to announce the passing of Roger Zaplin, who departed this world on December 4, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Roger was born on August 5, 1954, to his loving parents Heinz and Frieda Zaplin.

Roger leaves behind his devoted partner, Sally Zaplin, and their two children, Melanie Sanchez (spouse Robert Sanchez) and Michelle Vasquez (spouse Joseph Vasquez). He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren.

Roger was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and love of life. He had a passion for gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the local Humane Society in Roger's honor. Rest in peace, Roger, may your spirit live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
