It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rodney Davenport, who was born on January 3, 1958 and passed away on August 11, 2024 in Benson, North Carolina, United States. He was the beloved son of Carl and Joyce Davenport and the loving husband of Charlotte Davenport, whom he married in 1996. Rodney is survived by his two children, Tawanaca Davenport and Brandie Hooker, as well as two cherished grandchildren.

Rodney attended Northern High School and later went on to work at the NC Department of Public Safety, where he dedicated many years of service until his retirement in 2019. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and watching football with friends and family.

Unfortunately, Rodney's battle with ALS came to an end on August 11, 2024. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
