Rodger E. Dennis, 79, of Marysvale passed away February 27, 2024 peacefully at home. He was born December 2, 1944 in Draggerton to Carl E and Ida Nay Dennis. Rodger and his wife, Carla Fautin, have been married 54 years.

He graduated from Piute High School then worked with his dad, Carl, at a Chevron in Marysvale. Rodger was drafted to the Army and proudly served in Vietnam.

Rodger enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapshooting, BYU sports, Marysvale, and anything to do with his family. He was a hard-worker and would help anywhere or anyone. He will be dearly missed by anyone who knew him. Rodger was an amazing man.

Rodger is survived by his wife, Carla; children: Craig E Dennis and Reesha (D’Wayne) Bishop. He is grandfather to Collin, Tori, Grainger, Paige and Olivia; and great-grandpa to Iris and Cooper. He is also survived by his sisters: Glenna, Linda, Carolyn (Earl), Kathy (Lynn) and Kaylynn; sister-in-law, Helen.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Febuarary 8, 2025 at 12:00 Noon in the Marysvale Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Marysvale Cemetery with military honors by the Sevier Valley American Legion Post #37 and Utah Honor Guard.
