Obituary
Our dear Rochelle sadly passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 62.
Rochelle Maria Rembert was born on August 1, 1960, to the late Frances H. Rembert and Harry D. McNeill in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was the youngest of eight (8) sisters: Jean Rembert Warren, Annette Rembert-Moore (James), Mary Ellen Williamson, the late Cherry Williamson, the late Brenda Craig Young (the late Willie), Laverne Craig, and Patricia Benton (Raymond Sr.).
Growing up in Ray Warren Homes, she was known better as Dupy; where she became an honorary member of families, like the Meadows, the Turmans, the Coles and so many more. She graduated from Grimsley High School in 1979, and went on to study at Guilford Technical Community College. Throughout her life, she also met lifelong friends while working at places like: First Data Company, HeathServe Community Health, Dr. Brewington, MD and Gillespie Grill. Our hearts go out to all her friends and co-workers that have been able to know her joyful and compassionate essence. Please find comfort in the good times you’ve shared.
Rochelle's adventurous spirit will live on in those she leaves behind: her father, Harry (PawPaw); her sisters: Jean, Annette, Mary, Laverne and Patricia; her sweetheart, Michael; her children Raestarsha (Travis), Breon, and Brandon; her granddaughters: Ka’Mya, Kylea, and Kauri. Her passion to be there when you needed her was unmatched. She was very proud to be that kind of person to ALL her nephews and nieces. Hoping they know how much they meant to “Aunt Dup.” Let our memories of her help ease the pain we feel today and allow God to guide us all through this difficult time..
Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch.

The Family
Mama Is Her Name
Who bore the pain to give us life?
Who pulled us close and held us tight?
Who rocked us fast to sleep at night?
Mama is her name.
Who had a sweet and loving way?
Who nurtured us from day to day?
Who taught us how to kneel and pray?
Mama is her name.
Who worried most when we were gone?
Who waited for us all night long?
Who tried to teach us right from wrong?
Mama is her name.
Who had a young and pretty face?
Who had a soft and warm embrace?
Who can never be replaced?
Mama is her name.
We miss you, Mama
Love, Tootie, Breon, & Brandon
