Messner, Robin 57, passed away on January 6, 2016, at Lifecare Centers of Andover surrounded by her family. She was born on August 20, 1958, to Ruth Ann and Roe Messner in Wichita. Robin was a nationally ranked competitive swimmer for the Wichita Swim Club and at the age of 13 she competed in the 1972 Olympic trials. A graduate of Southeast High School, she received a swimming scholarship to Arizona State University in Tempe. Robin was loving and caring to everyone and touched many lives as a CMA. Robin is survived by her father, Roe; mother, Ruth Ann; siblings, Roann Messner, Richard Messner(Amber) and Ron Messner(Britt); her dog, Tiny; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 11, at Faith Baptist Church, 417 W. Central, Andover with Pastor Leon Hiebert presiding. Interment will follow at Bruno Township Cemetery, Andover. Memorial donations may be made in Robin's memory to The Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67219.
